What Happens to the Parts of You You Hide from the World?

On shadow work, authenticity, and the hunger to be seen fully.

There are parts of you that never speak out loud.

Parts that flinch.

That tremble.

That carry stories too messy, too angry, too wild, too strange.

And so you hide them.

You shape yourself to be acceptable.

You show the light,

and lock away the dark.

But the self you hide doesn’t disappear.

It waits.

It watches.

It whispers from the shadows:

“Will you ever come back for me?”

So let me ask you, truthfully, tenderly:
